APPLICATION

Our high-quality blankets are made from loose fibers and plant materials, compactly held together by an upper and lower net.

The NeiG Coir Erosion Control Blanket is typically used for protecting areas with higher erosion risks, such as steep slopes or other vulnerable surfaces. We recommend its use on slopes with inclines ranging from 1:2.7 to 1:1.2 (20°-40° slope angle).

Our NeiG Coir Erosion Control Blanket is laid over a prepared and, if necessary, pre-seeded surface. It is essential that the blanket lies flat and without gaps on the ground.

The installation of individual strips should run perpendicular to the slope’s incline, with each strip laid adjacent to the next.

We recommend an overlap of approximately 10–20 cm at vertical and horizontal seams. Ensure that the open edge of the overlap faces away from the prevailing wind direction.

Horizontal overlaps should progress from top to bottom. At the top and bottom edges of the slope, the ends of the NeiG Coir Erosion Control Blanket should be buried approximately 10–20 cm deep and securely fastened. For anchoring, we recommend using NeiG U-Pins or NeiG Wooden Stakes.
