APPLICATION
The NeiG erosion control geotextile made of jute is typically used for protecting slopes or other areas with low erosion risk. We recommend its use for embankments with a slight gradient of up to a 1:2.7 ratio (<20° slope). It is laid out on a prepared, and if necessary, seeded area. It is important that the erosion control fabric lies flat on the ground without any gaps or air pockets.
The individual strips should be laid perpendicular to the slope, placed side by side.
We recommend an overlap of approximately 10–20 cm at the vertical seams and cross seams. Lay the open edge of the overlap facing away from the prevailing wind direction.
The cross seams should overlap from top to bottom. At the shoulder and base of the embankment, the top and bottom edges of the NeiG erosion control fabric should be buried and secured about 10–20 cm deep. For fastening, we recommend NeiG U-clips or NeiG wooden stakes.
