APPLICATION

Our high-quality blankets consist of loose fibers and plant materials, which are compactly held together by an upper and lower net.

The NeiG Erosion Control Straw Blanket is typically used to protect areas with low erosion risk, such as gently sloping embankments or other surfaces. We recommend using it on slopes with a mild incline, up to a ratio of 1:5.7 (<10° slope angle).

Our NeiG Erosion Control Straw Blanket is laid on a prepared and, if necessary, seeded area. It is important that the blanket lies flat on the ground without any gaps.

The individual strips should be laid perpendicular to the slope direction, placed next to each other.

We recommend overlapping the vertical seams and cross seams by approximately 10-20 cm. Lay the open edge of the overlap facing away from the prevailing wind direction.

The cross seams should overlap from top to bottom. At the slope shoulder and toe, the top and bottom ends of the blanket should be buried about 10-20 cm deep and secured. For fastening, we recommend using NeiG U-clamps or NeiG wooden stakes.
