APPLICATION
The NeiG Erosion Control Blanket Straw/Coir is typically used to protect lightly to moderately erosion-prone slopes or other areas. We recommend its use for slopes with a gentle incline, ranging from a ratio of 1:5.8 to 1:2.2 (10° to 25° slope angle).
Our NeiG Erosion Control Blanket made of straw and coir is laid on a prepared and, if necessary, seeded area. It is important that the blanket lies flat on the ground without gaps or air pockets.
The individual strips should be laid perpendicular to the slope, side by side.
We recommend an overlap of approximately 10-20 cm at the vertical longitudinal and cross seams. The open edge of the overlap should face away from the prevailing wind direction.
Cross seams should overlap from top to bottom. At the shoulder and base of the slope, the upper and lower ends of the NeiG Erosion Control Blanket should be buried and secured to a depth of about 10-20 cm. For fastening, we recommend NeiG U-clamps or NeiG wooden stakes.
